Descripción del libro

This intermediate- to advanced-level anthology presents an overview of Hispanic American social and political issues as reflected in contemporary literature in a variety of genres-fiction, autobiography, poetry, and a one-act play. Six thematically-based chapters contain three reading selections of varying lengths and complexity, each preceded by a brief introduction that provides information about the author, historical or cultural background about the issue being covered, and general remarks about the reading. Each reading selection is supported by a series of pre- and post-reading activities.
