This publication tours the Museo de Arte de Ponce's collection of highly regarded Spanish painting and sculpture. The museum, located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, celebrates the richness of Western art from the dawn of the Renaissance through to the end of the 19th century.

The palindromic title of Brazilian artist Carla Zaccagnini's no, it is opposition. hints at its conceptual structure, which she describes as forking paths and crossroads. The book documents an exhibition which the viewer enters twice, encountering the same work again, but differently. The exhibition catalogue reflects the palindromic nature of the exhibition, mirroring itself and the exhibition in both structure and form.

Im Herbst 2011 fand in Madrid eine zweitagige Tagung statt, die der Wirkung Johann Joachim Winckelmanns in Spanien gewidmet war. Veranstaltet wurde sie von der Real Academia de la Historia, der Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, dem Deutschen Archaologischen Institut Madrid und der Winckelmann-Gesellschaft. Da die Vortrage in Madrid simultan ubersetzt wurden, haben sich die Herausgeber von El Legado de Johann Joachim Winckelmann en Espana dazu entschlossen, die 18 Beitrage, die die Quintessenz der Tagung bilden, in diesem Band ebenfalls zweisprachig zu veroffentlichen.
