La ola que regresa (Poesía reunida)

Loving poetry is a symbol of indolence, a challenge that requires solitude and silence, sacrifice and permanent devotion. All that a human being needs to live can be found in poetry, the artistic genre par excellence. El libro de los indolentes is a journey towards an unknown place where we inhabit, each day, a fortified but unwalled space, a river that gushes truth.

In 1996 I celebrated a year of sobriety and began a journey of rebirth. That year I developed confidence in myself that previously I never experienced. I took my personal collection of notes, diaries, and tapes from my year in Vietnam and begin to organize them into a book. In 1997 I completed the manuscript and titled it One Heart One Mind: one man's memoir of a tour of Vietnam. The book not only dealt with my year in Vietnam but with the emotional cost of the war on my soul and psyche. Esta obra nace para celebrar el primer aniversario de mi poemario ‘Cuando el amor es una mala palabra’. Una antología personal de poemas que ya vieron la luz y otros tantos que esperaron en las sombras por mucho tiempo. ‘The Love es Amor’ es un obsequio que te entrego a ti, amigo lector.
