Las prédicas contenidas en este libro fueron pronunciadas por el padre Kentenich a la comunidad de una parroquia a cargo en Milwaukee (conformada mayoritariamente por inmigrantes alemanes). En ellas queda de manifiesto la extraordinaria coherencia de su pedagogía mariana, que ya desde 1914 comenzaba a revelarse, y que siguen siendo de una enorme actualidad. Estas prédicas corresponden a una profundización del pensamiento mariano del padre Kentenich, pero, sobre todo, son el canto de gratitud de un hijo fiel que se supo siempre amado por María y por Ella, conducido hacia Dios.
