The Royal Road of the Tejas Indians, El Camino Real de los Tejas, was born hundreds of years ago when the Native Americans followed routes used by buffalo and other animals, realizing that these early creatures knew the best paths to take. Also known as Kings Highway, it later became a major thoroughfare used by travelers from the East coming to Louisiana, Texas, and Mexico. This is an anthropological essay that studies social dynamics of Mexicos city from the perspective of its inhabitants. An analysis about the relationship of their everyday life with the history of the city is made from questionnaires and the exhibitions of images to a group of people- taxi drivers, traffic cops, deliverymen of goods, students, housewives, street sellers and middle class motorists.
